Gold Star Jewelers

Gold Star Jewelers is owned by husband and wife Alex and Star Kharmandaryan. Alex got his start in the jewelry business when he was 10 years old, helping a friend do hand engraving during his school breaks in America.

He came to the United States at the age of 20 and started working for a jewelry manufacturing company in Los Angeles. After gaining experience in the jewelry industry and with a strong desire and confidence, he opened his own jewelry Mfg. and 2 stores in 1983.

In 1989, he sold his business, left Los Angeles and moved to San Jose, with the vision of starting his own family and building another business. In 1990, he opened his store in Willow Glen under the name Gold Star Jewelers, named after his wife Star. They have three wonderful children, Lucy 14, Zorro 13 and Harout 3. Alex's mom, Lusin, stays with them and is of tremendous help to the family.

Alex and Star are successful in their undertaking and are well known especially in the Willow Glen community in their 15th year of operation. They specialize in custom jewelry design, platinum and gold, silver, rare coins, antique jewelry, jewelry and watch repairs, and diamonds at wholesale prices.

At Gold Star Jewelers, the priority is customer service and customer satisfaction. We succeeded in our business because of the trust we get from our clientele, and most of the business is coming from repeat customers and referrals.
